Sounds like kam and hiker have had a good start to the day!!
Kam was on the trail for 7 full minutes and hiker is cooking salmon on the grill! YUM!!
Had a nice church service and our regular kids were there plus 5 visitors. Two of them chose to hear pastor's sermon and 5 came to children's church with us.
We read about Zacchaeus and played "pin Zaccheaus on the tree." LOL .. Blindfolded them and had them place their "Z" on a branch (if they could.)
It was a hit.
Took some photos of white fluffy clouds today. God has been making pretty skies over here this past week. I have some great photos.
I'll probably go with my husband to the gig again this evening. Hope we have people show up!

Tutu--I bet people show up. I listened to your hubby's music and "wow" he is ever good.
Pin Zaccheaus on the tree--how creative and fun.
Lawn is mowed. It so full of crabgrass that the young man had a hard time getting the mower through.
I really don't want to put down weed and feed, though. Will have to think about this. It's times like this when I wish I had a condo, but there are not many one level condo's around here.
And the condo communities don't let you plant flowers or a garden, so I should be very happy with my house. Just wish the yard was smaller, so not so much upkeep. Very nice neighbors, though, and that counts for a lot.
I raked while Caleb trimmed, so I got a bit more exercise and some sun. Nice to see the sun out today.
Severe storms expected tomorrow.
Time to rescue the whites out of the dryer and remake the bed. Then it will be reading on the couch!

Kam-glad you had a good walk
Hope tutus having a good time tonight
Im very tired. One day prep and two days selling yard sale stuff
Today was really humid and 80 and bad pollen reaction. Ived been out of c and e for awhile and now im getting low on other stuff. I think thats why pollen is giving me so much trouble this year...all the mold and dust is gone but im still sick
The truck i bought from neighbors is full of their corgis hair. I have had to have hypoallergenic dogs for over 20 yrs so that is a problem too...decided to have truck professionally. Cleaned and when they hesrd they went haves on the charge with me and they are taking it and bringing it back so that is really helpful
I got rid of all the heavy stuff at the yard sale so i dont have to put it away! When i started i had six tables and tarps covering the whole front yard...now its down to 3 tables...hope its all gone tomorrow...
Etta needs me...back later

Kayak.. SO HAPPY you got rid of so much stuff! YEA! and BIG stuff too!!
Wish we could have had a sale when we moved. I had to just give it all away. Hope it made someone happy!!

Able to wash a few dishes this am and fill ice pack bag.
Getting back up now to go pick up Rosie's deposit from this am...still not dressed..i'll put my robe over PJ's and slippers on to get the job done.
Going camping was on my mind this am but not as abl eto do much right now so not so sure.
Concerned about the 90 degree temp all week...wondering if i will be OK in the shade in my tent on the cot with the cooling towels on.
Having second thoughts..maybe I wil check and see what next week's temps are predicted. I know I will only be 10 min from home and can come home to the air conditioned apartment during the day.
But, don't like the idea of leaving me tent and cot as I have had things tolen from my capsite while making a bathrom trip at one time.
I had the choice to either go for another wlak in the forest this am or try and do a few things around here...not sure I made the correrect choice this am.
FAded fast. And it is much better for the soul to be in the forest...even if i am only on my feet for 7 min or so.

Kam--I think you are right to wait until it is cooler to camp.
I am very thankful for Labor Day--slept in a bit.
I went for a walk using my trekking poles. First time I have walked in several weeks--since school started. Felt good.
I needed the walk to loosen up all the tight muscles I acquired from weeding yesterday--quads and hamstrings very tight.
They changed the forecast and the rain is not coming until later today and less of a chance. That will give people a chance to enjoy their day off.
I remember as a kid when all the stores were closed on holidays. I think it is a shame that most are open today on a holiday to give the American worker time off. It's all about the $$.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

It's been raining all morning here. We needed the rain. More to come. Maybe it will help us have a prettier fall. At least it will keep so many leaves from falling prematurely!
We probably won't be going out today.

So, I ate lunch at work and then went for a 20 minute walk around the school track with my trekking poles.

Any time we got more than the 30 minutes, I was thrilled beyond measure. If we got to eat out, I was in heaven. I was always jealous of those who had jobs where they could go out for lunch and get away from the office or whatever.
For the first 8 yrs of my teaching, we had to eat WITH the kids at their tables. No break at all.
I love kids... but it was exhausting to not have a few minutes to regroup.

I had come from working in corporations..but even then lunch breaks were 30 min..we did have a cafeteria though to go to.
I also was suprised at how isolated teachers are and how little interaction there was with co workers.
Able to wash a few dishes. Est 5 min on feet maybe before having to lay back down.
More dishes to do..just a few..when able.

Yes. Very true. When I began to crave interaction with an adult, I would get my kids working and walk across the hall to my friend's classroom. We would chat for 5 min or whatever time we could get away with.
When I worked in open area schools, it was easier to walk over to the edge of my classroom and talk to my partner next door.
Recess was not only for the students! Hahaha!

Good morning. Able to do the dishes, plug in the power chair, get out of the apartment via the car.
Looked for doctor's office that was recommended to me by chiro. I think I found it.
I wanted to see what the hours were. But, I was doing well enough to call th eoffice and take in what the hours were via the phone message.
ASked for 8:30 am appt and for them to leave a msg on my land line.
But, that call did me in bran wise plus I was in a parking lot near the highway and the sound of the traffice was too much.
Consdired heading home instead of getting gas in the car or finding a trail for Rosie and I.
Passed gas station and headed out to an old trail that was near by.
Recalled once I was on the trail why it is not a good trail for me....hot out all ready too.
But, thankful I had the hiking shoes that have better traction on as I needed them.
I'll check in a min was to when I got on my feet and when I got off of my feet.
Lots of glass in the area too.
Drove the up and down road back across town along with the pot holes etc.
I wanted to take pics. But, hoping I remember I need to go in the afternoon to take pics as the things i wawnted to take pics of were in the shade.
Felt human and like I had accomplished something when I got home.
But, as I lay here the head stuff is flaring up...hoping that it will be OK as I veg.
Good news is the wildlife I saw even though it was later thean i usually am out and hotter.
It is 8:30 am now.
I saw a herd of Elk..they left me in the dust as they trotted away and in some cases ran while I was on the dirt road just on th edge of the paved city road and housings.
While on the paved road in the city neighborhood saw javelina.
Then saw quail as I was going across on the county half paved half pot hole road.
It is seconds to catch the wildlife crossing the road. I really like it when they are crossing the road while I have time to see them.
WAsn't able to get any pictures. They move to fast and were back in hiding before I could even pick up the camera.
OK need to veg..brain flare is getting worse. Ugh.

Kayak.. Maybe you brought in too much mold from the stuff in storage?? Is a lot of it in your house?
If not, maybe just the exposure to all of it has set you off.
Hope you feel better soon. One thing that helps me is Nasal Crom spray. It blocks the allergic response. Therefore you get fewer allergic symptoms.

went to ma and pa health food store. Being on my feet made it more difficult than usual to get things.
Shelves are beginning to be bare...i assume it is because they are no longer getting their usual Wednesday shipment in...store is closing.
they were out of local eggs but owner said he would FB me when they got some in.
Drove Rosie and I out to the forest area..I wasn't sure if I would be able to be on my feet or not..need to put hiking shoes in car just in case.
I had my sandles on but wasn't able to be on the trail.
let Rosie out in the cudlesac (sp)
I had forgotten how it is not relazing to have the other guy there. He has been there before with his dog.
Rosie and his dog get along fine. He also can't be on his feet long. IN some ways it is good to have interaction with another person but in other ways it is too much on me.
He got a chair out and sat while he let his dog have some outdoor time. I was concerned about his dog as javelina came thru one night we were there and his dog is little....but didn't tell him...need to bring the topic up if I am doing well enough to talk with him next time.
He did get out a small ball and toss it for his dog which Rosie ran after adn got.
I was kind of out of it but concerned about the size of the small ball so got out of the car and got the ball from Rosie.
he mentioned that the small ball was not good for larger dogs as they could choke on it.
So, when he got the small ball out again I decided it was time for us to go.
Seems like a nice guy and I would like to be aroun dothers. I just don't know how to and not let it maek my health worse.
I also got out of the car when he asked if he could give Rosie a treat. I needed to see what kind of treat it was.
he was aware that the treats from China were making dogs sick. He had beef jerky for humans he gave Rosie.
He invited me to sit down with him as he had another chair in the van....but I told him I couldn't sit.
Thinking I might just drive by next time if he is there and find another spot.
Kind of catch 22..it would be nice to be around others and he seems like someone I could be around but the talking thing and moving thing is a problem adn does make my health worse.
I was too weak to eat when I got back.
He said something about one of his legs not working because he had triple by pass surgery and they messed up his leg...since it was an emergency they took a vein (guessing) from his leg.
And that he had a kneew replaced in the other leg..he had a brace on it.
So, he wasn't able to be on his feet long either.
He asked me waht was wrong when I told him I couldn't sit in a chair.
I told him I was dx with lyme disease. He said something about ti messing up the whole body.
That kind of triggered a flash back. I think I have run inot him before only at a differenc post in that area and was able to get out of the car and sit on a rock for a short time and talk a little bit more as I was doing better back then.
Sun is starting to come up now and the noise of the air onditioning units under my window are staring up now too.
Can't type and have the noise. Brain can't handle it. ..need to find my peltor ear muffs and put tthem on..then hoping to come back and read what you all have been up too.

Able to wash inside of windshield on car and outside....when the sun hits the windshield i have not been able to see.
So, hoping this helps and a task I have wanted to have the health to do for a long time.
Resting now, but also hoping to fill the container in the car with the windshield wiper fluid.
Able to pour cleaning stuff on spots on carpet. Hoping to go back and scrub them too.
Tried to clean white board but the cleaning stuff I had was no better than water...need different cleaning stuff.
Went ahead and took two excedrin even though I did not have the inflamed brain this am. I just find it usually helps me to be able to do a few things..we shall see.
Hopefully I will be able to complete the above
Overcast this am. Nice.
getting the spots cleaned on the carpet has been something I have wanted to have the health to do for a long time also.
No water again at the apartments while they fix things that are broke.
It wasn't a problem yesterday and I stilll have water in the pans from yesterday.

kayak..hope you got a good night's sleep.
I have renamed the news..the bad news...and most of the time don't watch it...i dont' understand why they need to report the very small percentage of bad stuff.
I think they could at least report some good stuff with it. So many people doing good in the world.

Ok it is starting to heat up so most likely a good thing I did not drop the car off.
I also have my camping stuff in the car and don't like the idea of leaving it in the car while it is at the mechanics....
but taking it out is not an option and putting it back in
able to kind of scrub the spots on the carpet...pain in lower left side of intestines or ? is gone
but bloating is back..most likely from excedrin...
and that thing that happens every since i had the C section kept getting caught or twisted in my abdomen area while trying to scrub the spots
able to put some paper towels down to soak up some of the wet spots.
But, done in now...no more doins in that department.
Carpets really need cleaning but dont' have the funds. $100 to pay a local carpet cleaner to clean the carpets...and I need to declutter before they come...mostly the small room where I put the power chairs
Other areas would be good too..just havne't had what it takes to do it since I moved to this corner apartment in 2007.
Even with help I need to brain to work to decide whether to keep things toss things where to put things, etc...and that is rare it is working well enough to do so.
I would really like to downsize some more when able..not much of value left....but it would be good to still declutter
I have it in the back of my mind to get a trailer and hit the road. Live in the trailer for a while..but not sur ehow realistic that is.
Or if that is because of being housebound since 2001 for the most part.

I also was able to get some trash out of the car.
Mindboggling to me as to how sometimes health is doing well enough to do the multi moving and taskign to get trash out of car and then it goes a long time before I am able to do so again.
Most of the time I cam OK with getting in the car and just sitting and driving on the backroads as long as I go in the early morning or late evenings...brain doesn't ok with that.
