We tried to stop SB277, the mandatory vaccination law that goes into effect July 2016, and we didn't make it. We needed 366,000 sigs to qualify an initiative for personal choice on the ballot, and needed 50% more to cover for validity.
Turned in 233,000 sigs. I personally think they should have hit the ground running with paid signature gatherers as well as all the volunteers.
A lot of people think vaccines are ok. They have no idea about the ingredients, the timing of doses, nor that it's an open-door law, allowing others to be added in time.
Many people are making plans to home-school their kids.
It matters. All these vaccines weaken the immune system.

- Robin,
Your efforts are nonetheless appreciated but I join you in disappointment. Even if a similar measure did not pass in our state, they resubmitted it and many schools and organizations do mandate "compliance" so it's nearly as if its the law.
Corporate media is fed by the pharmaceutical and hospital / medical industries.
Journalists have fallen down on their jobs with this . . . and with all the catastrophes worldwide, this just gets the rubber stamp from the corporate medical "reporters" or advisors on the networks' staffs.
A culture of bullying has also really taken off big time with this from those on high. Penalties for many employees who don't "voluntary comply" are high as is even verbal abuse.
Sigh. -

Very scary .. and next they will decide to not allow home-schooling.
Frightening that they couldn't gather 500,000 signatures on something so important.

This does not surprise me...saddens me, yes. What freedom will be taken from our society next? We have gotten sooo many things wrong during my lifetime...and it seems that we never learn.
Common sense has escaped us...most don't look past the ends of their noses...people don't do the work to uncover truth and like Keebler said...you get personally degraded and disparaged for having a different opinion...even when you have common sense and science in some cases, to back you up.
Opinions divorced from knowledge are ugly things. Socrates
We have become a society based on ignorant conjecture and we practice it with abandon.

Thanks, everyone. I found that voters didn't know the details. They thought vaccines are safe and necessary.
It's interesting - I've been watching an online series on healing cancer naturally - it's all about having a good immune system. A health immune system can handle most of this stuff.
When I was growing up, we had very few vaccines, and I remember actually getting the measles, mumps and chicken pox. Whatever happened to healthy bodies and their immune systems?
Re the passionate/bullying aspect, Keebler, I think it's best if people have science hand-outs. I have found the Koren handouts to be really good.
Me: I hear what you're saying, but take a look at this - and I show them the list of all the egregious ingredients, as well as the list of dosage timing. Both sheets come with discussion of the negative effects. That usually slows them down to consider.

It amazes me how people just line up for vaccines without question. It amazes me that moms give consent for a hep vaccine for their newborns straight out of the womb. It amazes me that people don't question anything or challenge the status quo.
I don't get it all. Years ago, before autism became an epidemic, I questioned every single vaccine and the need for it. I wonder why children are not permitted to acquire wild chicken pox or mumps, benign and self-limiting diseases for the vast majority. Instead, parents are forced to vaccinate their children or they will not be admitted to school.
I have posted several times on FB about this. And I get maybe one or two comments/likes. People are apparently uncomfortable with the truth.

I think it's because doctors are very sure of themselves re the vaccines they're giving to the kids. I know lots of people who simply believe what their doctors tell them.
One thing I have learned by now - never believe a doctor carte blanche - do your homework.

It's pretty crazy & chilling that this got through. Especially in a "progressive" state like CA... It kind of sets the benchmark for other states.
Poppy - that's a really interesting quote!
I feel sorry for people with children there - and the children, themselves. I don't know if future generations will even know the concept of being anti-authoritarian any more...

I agree, Sparkle - crazy that it happened here. State Senator Pan of Sacramento got paid $95K by vaccine manufacturers to get it through the legislature. But did everyone else have to go along with it?! I hope they weren't all paid off! There is a recall effort currently going on against Pan in his district.
People are preparing to home school in groups. And some are talking about leaving the state. Though I guess it matters where you're leaving to, since many states are involved in this craziness now.
I just finished watching 9 episodes of "The Truth About Cancer - a Global Quest." They featured the CA SB277 story and called mass vaccinations a giant health hoax that sure makes a lot of money for vaccine manufacturers.
