Has Lymenet ever had a chat room? I'm finding few people to talk with and would love to find others in the same quandry.
If you have IRC, join channel Lymenet on Dalnet.
To do this on iPhone or iPad:
1. Download "Mutter" 2. Add new network "Dalnet" and choose a nickname 3. Connect and then select "join channel" 4. Type "Lymenet" and you're in
I assume no mod privs for this channel, I'm only there to find people to talk to. See you there?

Maybe an organized group chat one day a week? I think it could be helpful, maybe even guest chatters to join in every once in a while.
Another idea is to buy a chat system for the website, a one time fee. I would make a donation to help this happen =)

I'd make a donation to help this happen too.
Though I use IRC, it is a holdover from internet 1.0 and some people find it intimidating. Hence, if other can use it more easily, I may find a new method to socialize.

I did some looking around. I like the idea of using an open source project, there's no cost to the software but will require someone to do the installation. If this idea gets traction, I'll do it for no charge.
The bonus of using XMPP as a technology is that there are apps available, so Lymenet chat can easily go mobile, or a custom Lymenet app could be developed with ease.
