I'm a Lyme patient and have put my treatment plan on hold during a difficult period. My husband's been struggling with Pancreatic cancer and ultimately died from it this morning. It's an aggressive cancer and spreads rapidly. There was nothing we could do but wait. We treated his symptoms with comfort care through Hospice...but this morning he lost the fight.

My husband was a godly Christian man who loved the Lord; I'm at peace that he's in the Lord's loving hands right now.

Just wanted to share... Cats

So sorry about your loss. Think this post belongs in general support, since not many folks come to the off topic forum. You for sure need some general support at this time. Hope you have friends and family close by to help too.

Cats, my heartfelt sympathies to you on the loss of your beloved husband who you nursed faithfully and lovingly 24.7....

Here is the link to my SYMPATHY POEMS I posted online and that are found also in TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS on his very last page....

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=014207

Perhaps you might find something in there for his funeral service or on the funeral bulletin you have made up for your hubby.

Cats, when you are missing him really badly, please get out a video tape of him on .... helps hearing their voices/laughter and their gestures/mannerisms.

If you don't have a video tape, get out your favorite photos remembering when, where, and why they were taken.

May God comfort you today, and in the days, months, and years ahead.

Thank you for posting of your deep loss so we may be there to comfort you during your time of need.
Yes, this belongs in general.

Glad someone posted it in general with THIS LINK so ALL REPLIES go to CAT!

Cat, here is a special hug & kiss for you dear...
[group hug] [kiss] Bettyg

So sorry for your loss. Please be gentle with yourself. Thank you for sharing his faith, I believe he is no longer in pain, but he isn't here with you, and that brings you pain.

May you be protected and comforted. Please keep on the board and let us be a part of your grief.

So sorry to hear of your great loss.
Be assured that the LymeNet Family is sending love, support, and concern to you.

This group was wonderful when I lost my husband rather suddenly last year. The outpouring of love helped me more than words can say.

Will pray that you receive the strength you need to get through this difficult time.

Dear Cats,

You are in my prayers. Thank you for sharing your story and faith. I don't know if you have a church you belong to that can help you at this time, it sounds like you might.

There is a ministry I support and I call their prayer counselors frequently about my health and now health problems in the family. Anyone can call. I will be happy to PM you the toll-free phone number if it would help.

Jill

God bless you and comfort in this difficult time. It is good that you have the comfort of knowing your husband is at rest now, free from pain and suffering on this earth and that you will see him again some day in the fullness of time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pancreatic cancer is such a nightmare. Like others here, I'm worried about you now. It's so easy to neglect oneself when someone you love needs care. All of our thoughts are with you now.
