Then I sent this email to friends, family and other Lyme people I know.
I copied part of it from your original post, BettyG - hope you don't mind:
Help Choose Change.org's Changemakers!
The Changemakers initiative aims to identify the leading activists, elected officials, authors, bloggers, actors and thought leaders who have the greatest capacity to spark change on issues of importance.
Selected Changemakers will be invited to tap into Change.org's network of more than a million readers and activists and thousands of nonprofit and blog partners to drive further social action.
You can vote on nominations below, add your own nomination, or view more information here.
***********PLEASE Vote for Andy Wilson, the documentary film-maker who made Under Our Skin. You get 10 votes and I think you can use them all for the same person. You have to come back 24 hours later. Easy to do.
This is not like signing an online petition - this actually means something. It's a legitimate vote.

open eye sent out their newsletter and actress JOANNA KERNS daughter was just diagnosed with lyme disease!!
On October 26th, UNDER OUR SKIN screened at the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood as part of Variety's Screening Series of "the most anticipated movies of the season." Only a handful of documentaries were chosen for the series, which highlights films seen as possible contenders for the Oscar race.
Filmmaker Andy Abrahams Wilson and actress Joanna Kerns (above) were on hand for a lively Q&A.
Kerns spoke of the struggles with her daughter's Lyme disease, only recently diagnosed after years of health problems and misdiagnoses.
She also acknowledged how celebrities with the disease are reluctant to come forward because of fear for their careers. ******************************
On November 4th, Variety shows UNDER OUR SKIN as part of its screening series in New York, where many press and film industry representatives promise to attend.
Thanks to Turn The Corner Foundation (see below) for generously sponsoring these screenings

Tried to get the November e-newsletter to show up but it wouldn't go through. Guess anyone who wants to receive it can go sign up at their site - www.openeyepictures.com
As Betty said, it may be an Oscar documentary contender this year!
They are allowing community screenings to happen again, anywhere folks want to do them.
We can vote for the documentary in the Internet Movie Database - they said it's moved up to 37th in the list of 250 documentaries being voted upon!
We can also vote for Andy at www.change.org/changemakers A high vote means he gets to have a worldwide voice that goes out to millions of activists.
Anyone who hasn't yet cast their vote for him there can go vote - type Andy Abrahams Wilson into the search box. Let's move him from 5th page back to the first page again!

28,177 - up past another 1000 - on the first page, second spot - keep it up, folks, and thank you for spreading the word to vote for Andy Wilson as a social changemaker -
And the big weigh-in on the UOS film is happening still at the Entertainment Weekly site, re its Oscar contention status -
Vote for Andy at the change.org site if you haven't already, and also add a comment at EW if you haven't yet about your opinion of the real merits of the subject...

I think thanks to the December E-newsletter from UOS coming out, there's more activity again at the change.org site to vote Andy as a changemaker - he's on the first page again.
If you haven't yet voted, or passed the word along to others to do so, the site is www.change.org/changemakers -
put Andy Abrahams Wilson in the Search box and vote for him as a changemaker. Changemakers at this site get to spread their message to millions of activists.
Also, the Entertainment Weekly comment column keeps getting longer about how serious Lyme and the UOS film are. Hundreds of protest comments at this point.
If you haven't yet seen the scathing review and would like to comment, click on the thread here in Activism about the Entertainment Weekly panning Lyme and the film.
