Almost two weeks ago, I got a very mild sunburn (I don't even know if it counts as a sunburn- my skin was slightly pinker) on my chest. The next day, I what was either an awful breakout or a rash on my chest.
The whole area that hadn't been covered by clothing was covered in bumps (ok- gross warning. They looked like whiteheads). (and I thought sun was good for acne?)
However, they never went away. They've turned into a mix of just red bumps and more acne-like stuff.
It isn't like an acne breakout I've ever had- it goes right up past my collarbones to the bottom of my neck, and it REALLY isn't going away. I'm running out of turtlenecks and high-necked shirts to wear.
Has anyone had a similar experience? My arms got sun too, but didn't break out.

None really. I'm on a break to try to solve some stomach issues. I'm on a couple different types of probiotics and some liver/adrenal support.

Hi Nicole, I had an issue with exactly what you're describing earlier this summer. I was on doxy at the time and attributed the rash to brief sun exposure but it was only on my chest like yours. I also wondered if sunblock could have caused it or maybe a reaction to the heat... I never really figured it out but it did finally go away after a couple of weeks. I feel bad for you because it sure is annoying to have to cover up in this hot weather, but let's hope yours goes away soon too. Wonder what role lyme played in it all... I have babesia and Bart too so who knows!
