No Flagyl isn't an antibiotic, get to urgent care. A bladder infection can be serious if it goes to the kidneys.

I think they give bactrim for them..its been a long time for me
Cranberry juice too...but you need the right abx asap

You want to 'nip it' before it gets into the kidneys.
I let one go too long a few years ago and ended up in the hospital on IV abx.
Never been so sick in my life and the doctor said I could have died.
Nothing to fool around with.

Try drinking one teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water (works for me). It neutralizes the acidity of your urine and makes the bacteria slide off your bladder walls and exit. Remember to drink lots of water.

Randi-you need to get abx ASAP.
Bactrim, septra, cipro, levaquin
It can go to the kidneys quite fast.
Once you are peeing straight blood, there's a good chance you'll need IV abx.
The longer you leave it. The more irritated the linings get the harder it is to heal.

oh he gave me macrobid. 100 twice a day and said I could use 250 of flagyl also. he said I onl yt? had a mild infection and he didn't think it had gone to kidneys. he took urine specimen.
so far good hut don't like this microbid. ugh...
