I could have sworn I read or hear once that over 100 antibiotics don't kill Lyme in a test tube. I'm thinking 130 or something. Does anyone have a link to this research? I can't find it for the life of me.

Thanks.

Resistant to or not sensitive to?

I thought I had read that Bb does not become resistant to Abx it is sensitive to.

Don't quote me on that.

(not really sure what you're looking for/asking).

Thanks so much, Tincup and SusanK. Now that you mention it, SusanK, I'm not quite sure what I'm asking for exactly either. I mean, I do, but I don't.

I think I'm asking how many antibiotics and/or antibiotic
combinations have faileded to kill b. Burgderfori in a test tube? Yes, I think that is what I'm asking. [loco]

Bad part in this deal is not that she is nuts, we can accept that.

But I understood what she was saying!

Doesn't say much for me, does it Susank? HA!

The studies will tell you. You'd need to read them as it is over 100 of them. Some only kill the spirochete form, some only kill the other forms. And remember, that is in a test tube.

I remember them all, but I refuse to tell you and make it easy for you unless you send me $22 billion dollars.

How do you like them apples?

Me , in the summit it was sain lyme had 26 peptides where strep had 5...some believe diflucan makes the efflux pump of spirochete ineffective thus making it succeptable to abx ...
did you have gains on the iv flagyl?

I'll play.

"me" - you are thinking about something.

What?

Do you know what you want to know and why you want to know it?

Blue said... "Tc would you use that money on abx that dont work or other things?"

Well, 22 billion dollars buys a LOT of ice cream and the freezers to hold it all, so I'd probably use it on a number of other things.

And besides, I've already spent 1/2 that much on drugs, supplements, OTC items and other things that don't work.

Ice cream is next on the list!

Okay, you big group of rabble rousers.

Blue--thanks so much for the valuable info.

Tincup-- Are you saying read EVERY study or just the studies you sent (which I did, many thanks again), which would give me a round-a-bout number if I added the drugs from the studies you gave me.

SusanK, Yes, I am asking for a reason. It's a top secret clearance reason. [Wink] Something percolating in my head right now.

Tincup, Should we plan an intervention for your ice cream problem?

Glad that someone put up a link with the info. I tried doing just a google search and it was fruitless.

I am interested in the 26 vs 5 [strep] thing. No wonder ducks don't want to deal with chronic LD - it's too hard and by and large docs don't like hard, they want to solve with one or two meds.

On a side note, I'll take a tithe on the $22 billion!

I still have a good time wherever I go!
