OK. I chose to get the dictionary out again to look up Aspen's post of sisyphus.

Sisyphus: A legendary King of Corinth condemned eternally to repeating the cycle of rolling up a heavy rock in Hades only to have it roll down again as it nears the top.

Hi all,

Good topic--feels good to express feelings about this disease and hear others with similar feelings and know that we all understand.

Horrific

Makes you feel like an alien freak since no "regular" people can relate or even try to understand

Body-Destroying

Relationship-Destroying

Finance-Destroying

Life-Destroying

Abuse-Prompting (by loved ones and doctors.)

Soul-Destroying

WORSE THAN DEATH

(I know that's more than one word but there are SO MANY aren't there.)

Not understandable.

Friends can't understand.
Doctors don't understand.
Family can't really understand.
You don't understand why you aren't cured.
You don't understand how to get cured.

This has been good. I was amazed at all the people out there with lyme from all over the country. It was good to see so many standing up and being counted.

....C'mon, we need more obscure words:

EXECRABLE

(also refers to a type of file on a Windows computer.)

....Nobody(sniffle) bothered to look my word up. So here it is already:
execrable adj.
1. Deserving of execration; hateful.
2. Extremely inferior; very bad.
