'benign fasiculations'

describing my muscle twitching (which was scaring the h*ll out of me at the time!) that I thought was the beginning of MS or ALS symptoms . . .

I was trying to think of the one that said lyme is like rolling a boulder up hill.

Thanks Hillary!

Cathy, rollercoaster is also a good one. I didn't notice that it had been mentioned before either.

The definition of nemesis in Random House Webster's Dictionary is:

cause of one's downfall.

This is indeed a humbling position to be in.

So true. I'll see if I can find the post on what positives things we have learned from lyme disease whether we wanted to or not.

I think that was over in general about a year ago.

Martijn's word turning point is a good one.

While Lyme has distroyed my former life, i have to say that without it, i would never have met the fantasitic friends that i have now. Even without the disease, we have so much in common.
My Lyme buddies keep me smiling every day & i am so grateful for that!

So in a positive way, my word is...

Friendship!

I looked for the unexpected benefits of dealing with lyme disease post but I think it is gone.

So, this is as good as any a place to add those too.

I too am more aware of certain characteristics in some people like:

- kindness

- thoughtfulness

- consideration

It is above and beyond normal.
