Does anyone know how to control the extreme sweating caused by lyme? I realize it is good to sweat out the toxins but I have a wedding to go to and there are other times when I am in public and I need to contol it. I sweat so much the water just pours off of me. If I dry my hair with a hair dryer I end up wet then before. sick

Do you use nontoxic products? I found out for me that some of the sweating I've experienced was r/t toxic ingredients in beauty products - like stuff I would use on my hair or face cream and makeup etc. The worst offender for me is anything containing sodium laureth sulfate - and it's in everything! Since Lyme I am allergic/have sensitivities to many many things, which I understand is quite common.

These symptoms are more often babesia related. BTW, testing for babesia is not reliable.

Babesia and/or bartonella can cause sweats. Also excess of toxins.

The sweating sounds like the hallmark for babesia. I didn't get the really bad hot/sweats until I started treating the babs and really getting into a good herx. I have been in babs treatment for about 9 months, and have been in a constant sweat for the last 6 weeks.
Good luck!

Hi, many years before ever having lyme issues I was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) It's awful and embarrassing I've tried various topical treatments and my favorite is Odaban. You didn't say where you were sweating, but I use the stuff on underarms in addition to regular deoderant. I know you can use it on hands and feet as well, but I'm not sure about face or other areas.
I order off the web site - www.odaban.com. I think one bottle usually costs me about $14 and lasts well over a year. It's not instantaneous though, usually takes about a week to work fully.

You may have Babs.
Red root tincture and boneset tea seems to help my sweats. These are listed in the Healing Lyme book under treatment for Babs. I take the entire core protocol for Lyme and art for Babs.
I used to have drenching sweats and they have calmed down quite a bit.
