Hi -- Anyone else trying mangosteen juice and getting good results?

I've been drinking it for about 2 weeks now and it is dramatically taking down some Lyme symptoms.

In the first hour of drinking a little bit, my eye pain diminished and I could start to focus again.

Twenty four hours later, I was able to take off the dark glasses I have worn for 2 decades and look at light(got bit 25 years ago; didn't know I had Lyme until this past spring).

I also have lipomas(fatty tissue tumors) in my legs and the pain around them has gone down such that I'm not on ice 24/7. They are also softening a little.

An MD doctor who has put Lyme patients on the juice says the lipomas can go away if I drink enough juice.

I'm working up to what he wants: 1/2 bottle a day for 21 days. People with cancer drink a bottle a day for one month and then 1/2 bottle a day for the second month. A cab driver told me his leukemia went away on the juice.

The juice is made from the SE Asian mangosteen fruit. It has 43 xanthone compounds in it with double bonds. They donate electrons to free radicals and neutralize them.

The juice is an anti-oxidant 6x stronger than Vitamin C. It is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic and antifungal.

I drink a little bit every couple hours, with water. You can find it at your healthfood stores.

I like the Ultra Mangosteen brand best -- has a good juice blend, includes goji berries, 70 trace ionic minerals.

I LOVE it, but I wouldn't use anything except Xango. Could you go back and edit your post? It's difficult for those with vision problems to read.

The original mangosteen juice has helped me get off 6 different meds so far!

I no longer have an astigmatism [verified with dr's notes], pain, fatigue, brain fog, headaches, allergies, hmmm....what else?

All in all, it's changed my life.

Glad you're liking the results!

Hi Lymetoo -- thx for responding so quickly -- hope my writing is now readable.

Wow -- you have quite a success list there -- off 6 meds with symptoms down -- congratulations!

How long have you been drinking it, how much at a time, and how quickly did you notice results?

Why do you like the Xango version best? What's in it? Have you compared it with other brands?

Thx -- Robin

XAngo contains the WHOLE FRUIT PUREE, meaning that you get the entire fruit, NOT AN EXTRACT as Ultra is.

It is important to get the medicinal qualities of the RIND of the fruit, not just the juice from the inside of the fruit, and not just an EXTRACT.

They have to use chemicals to get an extract of anything.

What you have in the Ultra is a good antioxidant. They've added vitamin C and all kinds of other stuff.

It sounds like it's a good antioxidant, but in my opinion, the Xango is better because of the xanthones from the whole fruit.

I've had a lot of people jump ship from other products once they found out how much better Xango was.

I've been taking it for 2 1/2 yrs now.

My understanding is the Ultra Mangosteen does have the whole rind? I like this brand as well, especially with the Goji and blueberry juices added.

Are you familiar with this brand Lymetoo? I order it at the Vitamin Shoppe for $14/ bottle as opposed to $40 bottle Xango.

I have seen great results with it as well..

If you're drinking 1/2 bottle a day, $14/bottle is a bit easier to take than $40/bottle which @ 1/2 bottle a day, you'd go broke. So Lymetoo, how often do you drink Xango? How quickly do you go through that $40 bottle?

My Xango is only $25 per bottle, plus taxes and shipping. About $31 total for my state.

NO OTHER MANGOSTEEN PRODUCT CONTAINS THE WHOLE FRUIT PUREEE. I can show you the patent as well.

Like I said, you have a good antioxidant there, but why not go for the best?

If Ultra has the rind, you will see it collecting at the bottom of the bottle. My bottle has more than one inch of rind at the bottom. It's very noticeable.

Oh....say yesh posted while I was.

I drink Xango twice a day. Three times if I have pain or something like a headache.

It takes me 4 days to go through one bottle. Mine has been FREE since the first month I began taking it.

Free is good! [Wink]

Just noticed that Ultra contains 3 times as much sugar as the Xango. And I wonder if it's added sugar?

I wonder how much you guys have to take to get the same benefit as the Big X?

I have done research on this , Xango contains sugar.

Wouldn't that feed the yeast?

"Red" compared to Xango (as I have seen charts) has many more components then Xango - "Red" also has sugar.

Where are you getting Xango for 40.00 a bottle, I have always seen it for 100.00 a bottle, "Red" is more.

[confused]

I take Xango also. The sugars in it are natural sugar from the fruit juice. I have always been very sensitive to sugar and get low blood sugar easily. I've also had Candida for years. I've had no problem with the Xango. In fact, I think it has helped my stomach problems.

Xango has helped me tremendously with fatigue, allergies, and the best one for me so far - no more sleep meds. I was on $70 out of my pocket sleep meds every month. I took Xyrem and Sonata.

If you read the other post on Xango from yesterday, you will see one of my customers is completely free of her bone cancer which she just found out Friday after going to see her doctor.

I've compared my health food store brands and they are much lower in the amount of antioxidants in them. The owner was very surprised!

So the bottom line is, you get what you pay for.

Ladylee,

Xango has never been $100 a bottle. Now if you join (like a Sam's Club) you pay a membership fee and you get the case for $100 plus shipping and taxes. That may be what you are thinking of.

Hmm, I can't think of why else you would've seen it for that much for just a bottle.

I've got to admit, I would pay that for it if I had too. Thankfully, I don't.

It has actually helped my candida instead of "feeding the yeast." Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to take it.

I feel like its one of the best products I take in my "arsenol of supplements" because it kills free radicals plus helps so much with inflammation.

That is Sam's Club's #1 returned item. People don't like the taste and it doesn't work.

"Red" is only an "energy drink"...not a healthy drink in my opinion. Same category as Red Bull. Those drinks are not good for you.

The main focus of Xango is the Xanthones. Red doesn't have that.

I think karatelady answered the "sugar" question adequately.

I heard you can register as a vendor to buy it cheaper, do you know anything about it?

It has 2g for 1 fl. oz. But remember, its natural sugar from the fruit juice.

And like I mentioned earlier, my stomach reacts terribly when I have sugar and this juice has actually healed a lot of my stomach issues.

Hope that helps,

Sandy

As an antioxidant
Although the primary site of melatonin's action is via the melatonin receptors, melatonin evolved first as an antioxidant, and has only this primitive and primary function in many lower life forms.[13]

Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant that can easily cross cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier.[3] Unlike other antioxidants, melatonin does not undergo redox cycling, the ability of a molecule to undergo reduction and oxidation repeatedly. Redox cycling may allow other antioxidants (such as vitamin C) to act as pro-oxidants, counterintuitively promoting free radical formation. Melatonin, once oxidized, cannot be reduced to its former state because it forms several stable end-products upon reacting with free radicals. Therefore, it has been referred to as a terminal (or suicidal) antioxidant.[14]
From

Melatonin As_an_Antioxidant

Thought you guys should see this why melatonin is better than vitamin C and other antioxidents.

I was wondering what the shelf life is on any of the mangosteen drinks? I thought most fruit juice lose most of their nutritional value after a short time. How do you ship it in the summer when it's so hot?

Caution: My mangosteen cost me $155 for 4 bottles. Could have gotten it cheaper but refused to sign up for automatic monthly delivery.

You do not have to buy it and agree to sign up for it...look around on the net and you can buy it cheaper.

By the way....it did nothing for me.

Kathy, I would venture to guess that the bottles will have expiration dates on them. I just checked my recent shipment of Ultras. It says exp date 02/09, so they're giving it 2 years...I personally will not wait that long [Smile]

Ok, Tree, what are you going to have us drinking? Melasteen/mangotonin? [tsk]

Question for all takers,

How much of the juice did you take per unit of body weight???

I know somebody on this thread that took ALOT and had quick results,,,have read others that took less and had results but slower.

So am wondering IF their is a recommended amount to take per unit of your weight???

I know I am probably twice the size of some here so assume it takes MORE juice to do same thing??

I think this is a VERY important aspect of using this and also how often per day!!!

come on,,,all you people who tried it,,,tell us how much how often and even those that it didnt work for,,,tell us same and see if we can dx WHY???

I took some once,,,but looking back it was too little too seldom and not constantly enough. kept forgetting,,,no other excuse!!

Also,,,it 'appears' to me that it makes NO difference what else you are taking,,,you can take this,,,in other words it doesnt appear to me taking it is NOT limited by other meds,,might make them work,,,better!!!! RIGHT OR WRONG???

Help us figure out IF this is good for us and an approximate percentage(to compare with other stuff)

I am going to give it 'another' more HONEST try,,,again!!!me being--just don--

I'd also like to hear from people who are still taking it. Are you still getting good results and what is your dosage?

Don....your mailbox is full.

I will come back to answer, but would rather have others respond with their dosages.

I've gotten a lot of relief from the Xango, too.

I take about 4 oz a day, and it took me awhile to start seeing the results.

It is expensive, but for me, it's worth it!

I had quick results with it. My husband was out-of-town when I started on it. It was about a year ago because I had gone to Home Depot, bought a bunch of plants and flowers and was in the yard working when he drove up.

To say he was totally shocked is an understatement. It gave me energy on my second or third day.

What it has done for me the most is gotten me off Xyrem and all other sleep meds. I couldn't sleep even with meds like Sonata, etc.

Now I don't take anything and sleep like a baby all night.

We bought a box for my mother-in-law shortly after I started on it. She has really bad arthritis in her shoulder and that pain has gotten a lot better.

Last week I talked to her and she told me she always had to use her cane to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

She said lately she hasn't had to use it and can get up with no problem. She said it has to be the Xango as nothing else has changed. She is 85.

My little maid has breast cancer that has gone to the bone. My karate friend's husband is her oncologist. She was on it for awhile and her pain went away in her ribs (she doesn't speak English very well so I have a hard time getting all the medical facts from her).

Anyway, her cancer came back about a month ago so we started her on it again. She also did a round of radiation.

We are buying it for her since she is single and struggling right now. She was here Tuesday and told me her ribs and her back are not hurting her anymore since she started back on it.

My husband takes it even though he is healthy. When he goes out-of-town, he forgets to take it with him and he says he can tell a difference in how alert he is when on it.

Those are all personal testimonies that I have first hand knowledge of.

Sandy

Don,

I'm average height and weight and take 2oz 2 times a day. Some days I take a bit more and some days I too forget, but in general I'm pretty consistent.

I've also heard that the more one takes especially at first the more noticeable the results.

Good luck trying it again and do keep us posted.
