For those of you taking artemisinin to treat your babesia:

1) How much do you take daily?
2) Do you pulse it or take it continuously?
3) If you are on mepron and abx. do you take it with the mepron/abx?
4) Do you think it is helping you?

I take 400 mg a day (twice a day)

Also some days 100 mg every 8 hrs works for me.

Pulsing with 2000 mg per day for a few days and taking breaks after didn't do anything for me.

I have been taking 3 pills per day at 100 mg each. (morning, noon, night)

3 weeks on, 1 week off.

I also take 2 tsp mepron 2x's per day and 1000 mg Biaxin xl.

I personally could not handle more art than what I have been taking for the past 3 and half months.

I have found it to be very strong. It has given me very severe heart and chest herxheimers with severe panic attack symptoms.

I DO think it will be worth it. I am finally having some symptom relief!

i'm just about to start a baby dose of artemisinin (50 or 100 mgs once a day) and work up from there.

my LLMD and ART practitioner both say to pulse it, three weeks on, one week off. also, it is imperative to take artemisinin with citrus juice (orange or grapefruit).
