and then leak again when OFF doxy?
i'm slow to make assumptions about this disease-but this is the 3rd time my dog has stopped leaking when on doxy
the last 2 times he leaked again when i took him off
i think this means something-i think Bb is in his bladder. i know ppl have trouble with it there
my vet doesn't claim to know all there is about lyme anymore-and he agrees i know a lot because of my 30 yr history with it-but he has not heard anything about doxy/bladder
i'd just like to know if others have noticed this
when my dog leaks he gets so distressed-i have macho diapers for him and he is more relaxed when they are on but still...if it means he has an infection that doxy will stop i think maybe he should be on long term or at least longer than the 30 days cuz that isn't getting it---maybe he should maintain on a low dose or something
hope i get some answers

My dog just started doing this. He leaks just a little. I need to take him to the vet to see what's going on. I've just been too sick.
Wish I had an answer for ya..

Be careful around dogs leaking urine; it's infectious if the dogs have it. Also, I remember reading one study stating that Lyme was commonly found in the feces of dogs with diarrhea.
I know my dog sometimes gets into trash cans and consumes klenex--I try never to dispose of anything bloody somewhere where she might be able to eat it.

When he first started leaking we tested his urine (i'm sure they don't look for Bb tho)-and he didn't have a bladder infect or bladder stones(they first test for them with blood then confirm with xray or ultrasound )
he has never tested pos for any of those things---but if your dog is leaking i think those are the first things to test for-and easier to tx too-and serious if you dont
if his urine gets bloody you really need to get him to the vet-hope you have a friend to help or something
