Hi everyone!

I was dx'd with lyme and babs and started treating in Jan and Feb 2010. Everything immediately got better.

Starting in May I had days where I was very tired like before treatment that gradually improved over 3 days. This happened in June too. LLMD said its a herx. (approx 30 days apart)

Now last week and this week I noticed sinus sx's, foggy head, mild tiredness, starting up for 3-4 days each week, about a week apart. Than I am fine for a few days ( minus some twitching still, but this hasn't completely went away yet)

Does this seem like herxing also?

It worries me because I thought I was getting better but maybe I need a change in my meds. I do go see my llmd Tuesday, but thought I'd ask in the mean time.

I have had concerns about my kids also and unfortunately they both have Lyme. Luckily my oldest has ONLY Lyme but my youngest with special needs has Lyme, Bart and erlichia. Could explain some of her issues and hopefully help them.

I am taking her to a homeopath (?) in enfield CT in 3 weeks so I am cautiously excited about that. From what I hear he is a well saught after NP [confused] I'd LOVE opinions on this too!

When I started treating babs, I got a flare every 7 days. My lyme doc said it was the babs 7-day cycle. Babs also has a 14 day cycle.

I would get sick every Friday evening like clockwork. It would last 48 hours and leave me on Sunday evening, every week.

When I reported this to my doc, he had me add artimesinin to my treatment. I took it starting right before the flare was scheduled and all the way through the flare.

It worked like a miracle. The first week, instead of a 48 hour flare, it was only 6 hours and very mild. Each week it got less and less. Then, it jumped to every 14 days (every other week). And, finally it was gone.

So, you may be having a babs flare. If it is happening for a few days each week, nearly always the same days, that's what it most likely is.

Hope your doc has you on art or adds it next week.

Thank you TF

You have been endless help to me!
I am a HUGE worrier and just came off a med for that and thought I was imaging my symptoms. I just have trouble convincing myself I am not

But both weeks it has been every 7 days, although this time around it seems to be lasting a couple days longer. Maybe that's not unusual too.

Thanks for your reply
