You're not alone. This is what this disese does and you can't let it win. You will get through this time one moment, one day at a time! We are here with you and have been where you are. The real you is in there and sometimes it hard to remember what life was once like but things will get better. Deep breath, positive thoughts only..Giving up is off the options list as of now! Hey there,
How long have you been feeling this way? Are you on any form of lyme treatment now -- any antibiotics or herbal treatment? When did you start feeling sick?
I know, this disease sucks, but it is temporary and it will pass. We have been there, and we need you to hang together with us for that better day ahead!

You can and will get through this minute, and the next minute, then it becomes an hour and so on.
We cannot dwell and imagine tomorrow or next year and what may or may not happen.
May God's peace give you hope and take away fear, in Jesus Name now.
Continuing in prayer for you nomolyme. Look forward to hearing from you again.

You must keep talking to those around you or to anyone from this group who you can best relate to.

You are not alone! Recently I have thought that it would be much easier to give up but what I have realized is that giving up is not an option. It is not an option you just have to tell yourself that it will get better. Hang in there:-)

So sorry you had such a frightening experience.
It is traumatic, I'm sure.
Maybe a friend could go with you from time to time, just to get out of the house, maybe to go for a drive if your not feeling well enough to do too much. So you would not have to go alone?
If the psycologist isn't helping, maybe check the lymenet doctor referrals. I know what you mean about the doctors, but there are some good ones out there.
Possibly we have someone listed in your area who would be more understanding.
We are always here for you, and we DO understand.
So keep us posted. Ok?
Glad you are feeling more hopeful, because there is hope.
Take care and God bless. Praying for you.

Is there a support group in your area for victims of violent crimes?
I understand your not wanting to go to another Dr, but if the psychologist isn't helping, I would find another one fast because it isn't hurting him/her, it is hurting you.
You may need a psychiatrist who can prescribe meds for you.
I will continue to pray for you.

nomolyme, it is so good to wake up and see that you have posted! Thank you, once again, for sharing with us.
How awful that you experienced that attack and the resulting PTSD. Your feelings of fear are very normal after going through something so tragic.
It IS scary, and as hard as it is to believe now, you will be yourself again--even better than you could have ever imagined. Hold on to that truth as you take it one day at a time.
Others have already shared ideas that you could pursue. I encourage you to consider their ideas and God speed His healing touch and lead you.
Have you been to God Thought? May you be comforted as you read the posts

Hi - good to see you posting here - maybe you could find another psychologist to see - maybe Lyme support groups could make a referral, or even here - I don't know if Lymenet keeps lists of Lyme-literate psychologists too?
We can know what we want, and believe me, I think most of us do - about wanting to return to a well life.
However, this is what we've got to work with right now, and each of us is different, so each of us has to find what's going to help. It's like experimenting to see what can help our symptoms.
So the question then becomes what's the best way to do that? With an LLMD who knows what they're doing? With a support group? With online dialoguing? By doing our own research and reading about things to try?
I personally think it helps to see a Lyme-knowledgeable doctor who really knows what they're doing, who listens to you, does helpful tests, and knows a list of treatment options. They can do antibiotics only, complementary care only, or a combo.
But when you're feeling bad, it's important to do something, and reaching out here has been a good first step.
