You know the head of the DCF was fired by the governor. Maybe that had something to do with the fact they are no longer fighting to keep custody!
And the lesson here is that you can't just do as you are told and expect justice will be done. Have to fight for it. If they hadn't done this, that child might never have been returned and might have died in custody.

I hope Boston Children's Hospital learned something from this. Didn't do their reputation any good.

Hopefully, this won't just go away.
BCH needs to be held accountable or this kind of thing will keep happening.
So glad she is out of there.

From the Foxnews article: "The judge granted the girl's wish, after the Massachusetts DCF filed a motion agreeing that the teenager should be returned to her family."
O.K. So, what would the Judge have done if the DCF *hadn't* reversed their stand? And who/ what was behind their re-consideration?
Finally, was the head of the DCF fired after, or before, they "filed a motion"??
Robin, I think any suit for 'emotional toll' & 'wrongful doings' would be another tough fight, though the family certainly deserves to be reimbursed for all legal expenses.

Thx for the feedback. I think answers to these questions need to be known and this situation watched so they can't keep detaining kids.
