I was shocked when I heard she died, too. I feel so old.....

- She did not die of old age. Sure, she got older as was 81 but could have gone on another 20 years had it not been for pancreatic cancer.
It's too bad, of course. She seemed like a lovely person who did not take herself too seriously.
In a TV interview from about 10 years ago, she said with a laugh that her Louisiana accent and looks (not her "fine acting skill") landed her the job on "Beverly Hillbillies".
She spoke so highly of all the actors on set, and she seems to equal them in being so fun loving & good-hearted.
Too bad she became so ill. I was glad to find some interviews where she was just herself. -
