Ok.. My Turn!!!

Martina McBride, Wild Angels.. theme song maybe? or thats what i feel is watching out for me

Wild Angels Lyrics
Martina McBride

(Gary Harrison/Harry Stinson)

Bewteen the perfect world and the bottom line
Keeping love alive in these troubled times
It's a mircle in itself
And we know too well what that's about
Still we made it through, only God knows how
We must've had a little help
(Must've been)

Chorus:
Wild Angels, Wild Angels
Watching over you and me
Wild Angels, Wild Angels
Baby what could it be

Well it must've been hard, it must've been tough
Keeping up with crazy fools like us
'Cause it's so easy to fall apart
And we still break each other's heart sometimes
Spent some nights on the jagged side
Somehow we wake up in each other's arms
(Must've been)

Repeat Chorus

Bridge:
There are some nights
I watch you while you dream
I swear I hear the sound of beating wings

If I don't use my real name on everything I get mixed up and forget what name I have to go with what password. Between E-mail and message forums it gets really confusing!

If "Naomi" is ever taken I use Happy-Cat. I own my own cat sitting business called Happy Cat Pet Sitting!

Hugs,
Naomi

Wow, these are so fun to read!

Mine is a name of a character in a book I read, "Ampris". When I chose it several years ago, someone already had it so I added the "My" to it. Then, just recently, I changed my email address to yahoo and somehow I screwed up the sign up form so it wouldn't accept "myampris", so I added the "20" to it. So, there you have it.

what fun reading all these names! I always like trying to figure out the names-kind of like a vanity license plate! I'm "flowerchild" because I'm a barefoot, tie-dyed, daisy-in-my-hair hippie throwback who was born in the wrong time!
Peace and good vibes for you all,

Hi,

Mine is stolen from another person's idea.

A Corgi is a dog from Wales. I love the breed and own 2.

There are many corgis around that are extra small - almost miniature. My friend calls them corgillas.

The female that I own happens to be the smallest that anyone I know has ever seen so I stole the name for myself.

My name is attached to my own, personal "15 minutes of fame story"(You know, Andy Warhol once said we would all have 15 min.'s of fame in our lives)

I worked for 23 yrs in NYC in the fashion and beauty industry

Anything from an assistant all the way to Vice President in that time frame

Started out as a educator to hairdressers(haircoloring techinques) all the way to researcher in dye-loads after finishing my Ph.D

Along the way--I did hair for designers in top fashion shows

You know--the ones you see in Vogue and such?

Well, way back when--there was a certain well known supermodel who had a REALLY BAD ATTIUDE---and I totally did not care what the H*LL* she thought of me, I told her to park it baby, and get your freakin hair done for this show--I needed to get back to the states and work the next day

Well, she called me a *D*MM Yankee*, which I thought was pretty funny coming out of a Dane
( my co-workers called me D*MM Yankee for years after this!!!)

And I always wear black

So, years later--when I moved to Texas, my old co-workers in NYC---gave me the IM(instant messager) name of *Yankee in Black*

My new Texan buddies think it's funny(the name)

OK, so,

I have a cat, Minou. She's very small, and very beautiful.

When she was a kitten, no bigger than the palm of my hand, she was in the front room when I was vacuuming. She refused to be intimidated and would not move out of the way. When I nudged her with the vacuum cleaner, she swatted it, sat for a minute, then decided to inspect the food bowl in the other room.

And once upon a time, when I got a new German Shepherd puppy, the Nounster snuck up on him constantly for two weeks. She'd do a surprise attack, he'd bark at her or go after her, and then he'd get in trouble with me or my husband. After 2 weeks, he learned to sit quietly and not bother her. After she had him trained, she never bothered him again, and would even groom him and snuggle him.

So you see, I just can't let myself get weak kneed and pitiful with her around.

I am usually an optomistic person - and I have always believed that if you put on a smile - eventually you'll believe it. The word itself also makes me smile - and gives me hope.

That said, the day I registered, I couldn't stop crying and actually it was somewhat of a sarcastic choice. Somedays, especially when feeling crummy, I can laugh at my attempt at humor. It is fun reading these responses - thanks for bringing it to the top!

Peach is for my big, fat, old, orange tabby cat. If she was a person she would be a bossy, crabby old lady stomping around in her housecoat and slippers grumping at everyone.

She is 14 and my vet (who also happens to be my boss) is convinced that she is going to live to be 25. She has the bloodwork of a 3 year old cat and she manages to draw blood (usually mine) every time I have to bring her to the office. Oh dear bartonella!

The 'SC' stands for the show name of one of my horses, 'Southern Charm'. We call him 'Southie' around the barn and he is a big ol' goofball.

My nickname came (kinda) from the movie "A Time to Kill". There is a part in the movie where he whispers "dream some good dreams babygirl" and I don't know if it was the way he said it or his accent, but it gave me goose bumps. I made the mistake of telling the lead singer of the band that I jammed with occasionally about it. Wouldn't you know it... all the guys would whisper the line in my ears to give me the chills! Much to my surprise... the first time I was to sit in with them in public (playing drums) the poster they put up announcing it said "Featuring .... BABYGIRL" well... I was a well known bartender in that area and the name just stuck. Yes... it still gives me shivers! By the way... some of you have e mailed me have e mailed to the name TAMAPLYR... which is also a drum related nickname.. TAMA are the drums I love (loved) to play. Not too many of us chick drummers so I have to get better soon to keep the tradition going!

I haven't lived in the same town for more than a few years since the age of 12, and I lived in most places for 2 years or less. I went to 2 different junior high schools and 4 different high schools in 3 different states (Mississippi, New York and California) and it seems like I haven't been able to sit still ever since. Most of those towns I did not want to leave, but had to for one reason or another (family, job, school, etc. and no, no tar and feathers were involved). The ironic part is that I would very much like to stay in one place.

I've used the name rambleguy in other forums on occasion, so if you see that name, it might be me rambling through cyberspace.

By the way, I just moved back up to Chico, CA last November. 7 months in one place and counting! I'm practically covered in moss.

Mine comes from the nick name my dad gave me as a small child. He still calls me some form of Suzy, Suzy-Q or Sooz, but my real name is not reflected in there at all. I don't know how he chose it. The bad thing is my mother-in-law's name is Sue, so whenever someone calls her Suzy, I always authomatically respond(gotten a lot of strange looks over the years).

What a great time I had reading about everyone's name.

Mine is my email name which I use surfing the web to keep things simple.

Lived in Alaska until Lyme came into my life and hope to return.

Had the great priviledge of seeing wolves in the wild traveling toward Denali (McKinley).

Struck by their grace and beauty. Hence the name.

This is interesting. I really liked AmIcrazy! Mine sounds self explanitory but actually not. I head up the fast pitch softball program in our district. I train year round. This year I have 44 girls age raging from 7 to 15. 3 teams. I have 4 assistants that help on the days that I am unable to make it. I coach the 13 to 15 year old team and assist on the 8 to 10 and 11 & 12. I Pitch train ages 5 to 7. I do all of this on a volunteer basis. Due to my health I am unable to play so this is how I stay in softball. Don't won't to give it up. I allso love the girls. We came in second in the leauge last year. Hope to be #1 this year.

Well my favorite herb (and luncheon restaurant) is Sweet Basil.

For decades I have told folks to "be wild" (meaning get the most out of life--think outside the box--push a few limits--dance on tables when the opportunity arrives, etc.)

So now that I have lyme disease, I long for being a wild thing again and even on bad days, I strive to stay wild.....

so be wild all, celebrate life and hug, cuddle and snuggle the ones you love

When I was thinking up a screen name, my eyes lit upon the sock monkey sitting in my office. He's wearing a sort of vintage gold 'chain mail' dickey as a poncho

And I remembered my grandmother saying when we were sassy kids "no more of your monkeyshines!"

Hadn't thought of it in years!

I daycared for one of my nieces from when she was 8 months old to age 4....she couldn't say "Doreen" when she started talking so I became "auntdeen". Needed a screen name for eBay at that time so it was a natural. I use it for almost everything online, unless I'm in the mood to explain LegoLady, the only other nickname I've ever had (from the First Lego League teams/club that I've run).

Lyme, babesia and ehrlichia had me feeling pretty stuck for the last year...literally life as I had known it ended in May 2004 - so I decided to pick a name which conveyed this - word play on stymied...stymie also stymy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (stm)
tr.v. stymied, (-md) stymieing, also stymying (-m-ng) stymies (-mz)
To thwart; stump: a problem in thermodynamics that stymied half the class.

n.
An obstacle or obstruction.

When I came up with my screen name, I had a wonderful Somali cat named Tromba, so I was a Somali's mom. I ended up getting a second Somali, but Tromba always had an extra-special place in my heart. He was my soul-mate kitty and the absolute best furry nurse anyone could ever hope to know.

My special kitty passed away in October 2004. Even though I'm still cat-mom to a Somali, the screen name is bittersweet now.

Here's a pic of my sweet Tromba:
